Development status of chemical fiber ropes for marine engineering at home and abroad

Marine engineering cables refer to cables used for mooring, anchoring, towing, hoisting, etc.,
 used in resource development and equipment facility construction. Generally, they include steel wire cables and chemical fiber
 cables. Due to the weight of steel wire ropes under the same strength, they are not Seawater corrosion resistance is gradually
 being replaced by synthetic fiber cables in the field of marine engineering. The application of chemical fiber ropes in the field
 of marine engineering has also promoted the continuous technological innovation and development of rope manufacturers at home and
 abroad.
 

The UHMWPE fiber rope manufactured by the famous American rope company Samson Company uses the excellent Dyneema® fiber as the
 main raw material, such as low creep SK78 fiber, etc., to ensure product quality from the raw material. Samson has a wide range 
of products and can develop special rope types for specific work areas. Its braided structures are 8-knit, 12-knit and double-knit.
 Among them, the T-shaped 12-knit structure is the most common. Under the same diameter, it can reach the same strength of a wire
 rope, but its weight is only 1/7 of the wire rope. Samson has also independently developed resins with different properties for
 coating finishing of high modulus polyethylene strands or ropes to improve their wear resistance and tensile properties.
 
Lankhorst in the Netherlands has more than 200 years of experience in rope making. The series of products it produces are widely 
used in marine and offshore ropes, etc., and it is committed to the design, production and testing of offshore mooring ropes.
 The GAMA98 marine engineering cable made by it is made of parallel sandwich ropes. It contains 7 to 18 rope cores, each of
 which has an 8×1 or 12×1 structure to achieve rope torque balance. During production, the tension and length of each parallel
 rope are precisely controlled by a computer, and the core and sheath are covered with a sand-proof layer that can effectively
 filter particles with a diameter of> 5μm. This product is a typical offshore engineering platform fixed rope.

 in the marine field, including oil and gas exploration and marine fishery. The rope materials are mainly nylon, polyester and 
high-strength polyethylene. The woven structure of chemical fiber rope mainly has double braid, 12 braid, 8 braid and 6 braid
 structure. In the field of marine engineering, Bridon has developed chemical fiber rope products for offshore drilling platforms,
 single-point mooring and permanent mooring.

The production of domestic cables for marine engineering is mainly concentrated in the coastal areas of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. 
In recent years, in the manufacturing of marine engineering ropes, several backbone rope companies have carried out some basic
 fixed asset investment and production capacity improvement construction. Some rope companies have purchased large-scale rope
 coating machines and 2500t horizontal tension machines. For example, Sixiong Rope Industry won the "deep sea polyester mooring 
rope" for the CNOOC Oil Lingshui 17-2 project for the first time in offshore platform fixed cables, breaking the long-term
 monopoly of European and American companies on floating oil and gas platform deepwater mooring polyester cables.
