POE ------High Molecular Polyolefin Elastomer
2021-05-18
Polyolefin thermoplastic elastomer is a high-performance polyolefin product that becomes rubber elastic at room temperature. It has the characteristics of low density, large bending, high low-temperature impact resistance, easy processing, and reusability. Experts predict that this product will be widely used in domestic and foreign automobile manufacturing industries in the 21st century.
This product has a wide range of applications in auto parts. In automobile exterior parts, it is mainly used for bumpers, radiators, chassis, body panels, wheel guards, movable roofs and other protective rubber strips, windshield rubber strips, etc. In the interior parts, it is mainly used for instrument panel and interior panel skin, airbag outer skin material, etc. In 1998, the world's consumption of polyolefin thermoplastic elastomers in automobiles was about 453,600 tons, 90% of which were used in automobile exterior parts.
At present, the research and development work of this product is underway. With regard to the development of outer panels of automobile bodies, domestic and foreign scientific research institutions have produced dimensionally stable polyolefin thermoplastic elastomer compounds to solve the problem of thermal expansion. By compounding minerals, glass fillers and various rubbers, the coefficient of thermal expansion is reduced by 50% to 75%, and stiffness, gloss, impact resistance and scratch resistance are improved.
