1. The definition of non-woven fabric
Nonwoven (nonwoven), also known as non-woven fabric, non-woven fabric.
Oriented or randomly arranged fibers are combined with each other through friction, entanglement or bonding or a combination of these methods to make a sheet, web or batt. Excludes paper as well as woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, tufted fabrics, stitched fabrics with stitched yarns and wet felt products (regardless of whether such products have been reinforced by needle punching).
The fibers can be natural or chemically processed, and can be short fibers, filaments or fibers formed on the spot.
Note: 1. The difference between wet-laid nonwovens and wet-laid papermaking is that nonwovens should meet one of the following conditions:
a. The fiber whose fiber component has a ratio of length to diameter greater than 300 (excluding chemically cooked plant fiber) accounts for more than 50% of its mass;
b. In its fiber composition, the fiber whose length to diameter ratio is greater than 300 (excluding chemically cooked plant fiber) accounts for more than 30% of its mass, and its density is less than 0.4/cm⒊
2. It is not considered that viscose fiber is chemically cooked plant fiber.
2. Fiber raw materials
There are many types of fiber materials suitable for non-woven fabrics, mainly natural fibers and chemical fibers. In order to make non-woven fabrics with different properties, uses and styles, high-performance special fibers and functional and differentiated fibers can also be used.
(1) Natural fibers: such as cotton, wool, hemp, silk, etc.;
(2) Chemical fibers: such as viscose fiber, polyester, nylon, polypropylene, acrylic, vinylon, etc.;
(3) Differential fibers and high-performance fibers;
Such as: low melting point thermal bonding fiber (ES fiber, modified polypropylene, copolyamide, copolyester, etc.);
Superfine fiber (fineness less than 0.3dtex);
Three-dimensional crimped hollow fiber;
Colored fiber
High-performance fibers (carbon fiber, aramid, polyphenylene sulfide, polyetherketone, etc.);
